Very central and car park nearby. It was a beautiful apartment and our room was huge and well appointed as was the bathroom.

Staying in an authentic, historical building, but with modern comforts, lots of space, in the middle of the old city, near everything needed for a comfortable tourist stay, on foot. Near the Prefecture, which I needed. Great staff and fresh French breakfast included and served in beautiful kitch. Small and intimate property.

Located in the heart of Chambery minutes walk from all the restaurant near Carre Curial and in the shopping streets it s a perfect place to relax and rest for a night or two. Confortable and clean we were plaseantly surprised. The man in charge was really great to us and was easy to contact super helpful and let us check in quite late at night as we had driven from Geneva airport. There is a nice fresh simple continental breakfast too.

Don’t book expecting this to be a hotel with service, but do book if you like somewhere a bit quirky, where you can use the kitchen and watch tv in the lounge. The new owners have just taken over and have great plans. The photos are a bit flattering!

The location is excellent and the huge rooms in the old building give a wonderful, traditional feeling. The staff are exceptionally helpful.

We felt really lucky and pleasantly surprised by the hotel. What a warm and genuine reception. You'll feel like you're staying with friends:) massive rooms with high ceilings. This is as if you're staying in a home because this was previously a home. My only regret was needing to check in very late and leave early in the morning. I look forward to a return to fully appreciate this gem in chambery

We stayed for 3 nights on our way to Barcelona. Taxis cannot go to the door as a pedestrian area but it is flat walking if you have heavy luggage. However, there is no lift and reception is up 4 flights of stairs so be warned. The staff are pleasant (limited. English and don't help with luggage) and the rooms are huge. The bed & fittings were average, no English language tv channels and your bathroom will be adequate but not fancy. There is no a/c, no double-glazing on windows and if you get the room at the back of the building, the coo-ing pigeons may keep you awake at night. The neighbours also wake up early and may bang around and talk loudly. Our friends who stayed on the other side of the building had to contend with a late night party - drinking, singing badly & the usual. Remember though, that this is an historic building with all the problems of age. If you want new then don't stay here. If you can be accepting and flexible, the location is excellent as in the old town.

The hotel is on the 3rd floor of a historical building. The units are very stylish and spacious. Beds are comfortable. But our beautiful room was facing the street, at the end of which is a bar where many young people gathered and drank to midnight with singing and loud partying. In the early morning, you have the garbage truck working at 7 or 7:30. The sleep quality was not high, unfortunately. Also being part of a historical building, plumbing did not work well. In our unit, the shower worked well, but the vanity sink barely had any water coming out. The bathroom was huge, but the functioning part was small and not working well. I guess one cannot get everything in life.

A lovely B & B that is ideal for a one night stay. Is in a historic building and there is no lift so traveling with lots of luggage is not recommended. It has lovely rooms that are spacious and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable and clean. Is very close to a piazza and there are plenty of restaurants close by.

Interesting place. Very quirky in an old building up 2 flights of stone steps. Better directions from the car park would have helped, names of streets for instance. Walked through streets in the rain after an 8 hour drive not the best start but a lovely welcome from the young girl there helped. We had asked for names of restaurants open as it was a bank holiday and they had gone to the trouble of finding this out for us and given us a map. Large room with comfortable bed. Only downside was very expensive breakfast for what we had. 12 euros for croissant, coffee, cheese and yoghurt, should not have bothered really. Ideal stop on the way to Italy though.

Stayed here for 1 night on our way back from skiing. It is a lovely interesting property on the 2nd floor of an 18th century building (with no lift) located in the centre of the pedestrianized centre of Chambery. It is a little tricky to find so make sure to print out a walking map before you arrive! We had a family suite which consisted of a double bedroom which was long but very narrow and a little attic-type space with two low single beds for the kids. They loved their space! Beds were very comfortable. Very nice bathroom with spacious walk-in shower.Property is full of atmosphere and Philippe is a very welcoming host. He was very happy for us to bring in pizza for the kids and gave us recommendations on where to get them!As it is a very old building, the floors are exceptionally squeaky! Good wifi available in the room.We parked in the underground Curial Monge carpark which is only a couple of minutes away. Left most of our bags in the car overnight without any problems. This was a lovely interesting place to stay on the way to or from the slopes while Chambery itself is a really nice old town worth visiting.

This is a beautiful 18th century townhouse, in the center of the pedestrian area of Chambéry. The rooms are huge, well furnished, stylish, warm, clean, comfortable. We had breakfast 2 mins walk away...€10 for two people. One of the best places I've stayed, and I travel all year round! May not suit people, who can't walk up a staircase, or want to be pampered by staff. It's more like a private apartment.

This small B&B is in the center of the old town Chambery in a building that once housed dukes. It is so old and historic that elevators are not allowed to be installed. Hence, you must walk up stone steps to the 2nd floor (US 3rd floor) for the entrance. However, the rooms are quite lovely, very high ceilings with ornate crown molding, wood floors and very large. As mentioned, the bathrooms are large; unusual in Europe. We did not meet the owners but the staff was very pleasant. The rooms have a mini refrigerator and very strong wifi which is free!Since it is located in the medieval old town, you cannot drive directly to the entrance to unload. However, the owners will give detailed instructions on where to park and how to proceed to the B&B. Just be aware you will walk about 5 minutes on cobblestone roads through the pedestrian area and then up stone steps to the entrance. But, the ambience/atmosphere is worth the small inconvience. And, the check-in time window is different from other places. It is clearly stated on the hotel website the window for check-in is 5-11pm. Between 11am - 5pm, no one is at the B&B; consider that restriction when planning your arrival in Chambery. We will stay here again when we return to Chambery!

Tucked away in a courtyard right in the heart of the medieval oldtown, this perfect pied a terre when on a visit to the stunning Chambery, Les Suites de l'Hôtel Particulier De Sautet iwas a fortuitous find. The rooms are large and airy and beautifully appointed, the location is perfect and the value for money is very good.A strong recommendation would be that the staff could be more available and attentive to detail.

A beautiful place to stay overnight on the way to the south of France. The rooms are really confortable and the toilets a re large and airy. This property was owned by a military man and close to the centre of Chambery. A great boutique hotel suite

We stayed at Sautet in February during a business trip to France. I must say that Phillipe and Edith were so kind, helpful, and patient with us. We know very little French and they were so very helpful with helping us to navigate the beautiful area as well as advice on where to go. The breakfast area is so bright and peaceful, the perfect way to start a day! The charm and history of this hotel and its hosts literally exude warmth and gentility. Phillippe played the violin for us and won our hearts. The memory of hearing the passion he has for his music will vibrate through our hearts forever. Truly magical people and place!

Where do I start? We were 9 people and had just spent over 10 hrs driving down the mountain from Meribel. We were keeping the owner updated with our progress by phone, which was very slow, and she stayed up until after 1am to welcome us, show us where to park the car and escort us to our 3 rooms - we could not have asked for such brilliant service as we were all very tired and a bit irritable. We had a very restful sleep in great surroundings, huge rooms with traditional French décor.Breakfast was delicious and plentiful which set us up well for the journey to Calais.Would highly recommend it and a shame we didn't have time to appreciate the town properly - next time.

Last weekend our party of 11 people were returning home from a week's skiing in Meribel... The journey from leaving the chalet at 3 took ten and half hours.... we called the owner from the car a few times to update her and finally arrived at 1.30am, to be met in the street, allowed through the barrier to the pedestrian zone to unload, and then show to the suites of rooms. The rooms were spacious, extremely comfortable and we all got a very good night's sleep.Breakfast was very french and delicious, before we set off for the journey back to Calais.I would highly recommend Les suites de l'hotel de Sautet, an next time will ensure we arrive early enough to enjoy it more.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sautet. The location is historic France and we felt like aristocracts staying in a large and comfortable room at the Sautet. Phillipe and Edith were excellent hosts. Their recommendations for eating and sights to see were very good. Phillipe was very patient listening to my basic French. We were in Chambery during a train strike and we were attending a sporting event a bit out of Chambery at Lac Aiguebelette. Phillipe and Edith most generously offered to help us out if we got stranded. Should we visit again we would stay here.

Fantastic place in the historical heart of Chambéry.I stayed one night during a business trip and really enjoyed it.The rooms are very spacious, very clean and with a very rich decoration.I was the only guest of the the hotel on that day and enjoyed being able to work from the "salon" the next day in the morning. The lady who left me the keys was very helpful and friendly. I also had the chance to meet the owner who is very friendly too.Very good place to stay. Definetely recommended.Note: there is no reception and the parking place is at 5 min walking distance from the hotel.
